About Fuego Fatuo

Fuego Fatuo Art is a small business based in Spain run by sculptor and creature designer Álvaro Herranz.

Everything started as a personal creative project back in 2010 in Barcelona, as a response to the need of giving fantasy creatures a realistic and physical dimension.

After more than ten years and having moved to Madrid, what started as a hobby became a full time job and a life project, inspiring a magical sense of wonder and bringing to reality mythical creatures from folklores all round the globe.

Over the years, my interests have progressively moved from more fantasy-oriented creatures to mythological creatures, but never forgeting the first ones.

As a pseudo-folklorist wannabe, I am currently I am doing some research of the very little known creatures from Spanish folklore, since I feel like I have forgotten about my own roots for years and our folklore has a lot to offer.
