Cockatrice poseable doll

695.00

Basiliscs, also known as cockatrices, have a head and feet similar to a rooster’s, leathery dragon wings and a serpent tail. They are believed to be born when a rooster’s egg is stolen and hatched by a snake or toad. Basilisks are extremely dangerous, not only because they are venomous, but because they can cause death by petrification with a single glaze by making eye contact with their victims. The only known animal to be inmune to their glaze is the weasel, which is considered their mortal enemy, but the crowing of a rooster will also kill the basilisk.

Head, wings, tail and feet are casted in rigid PU resin and painted with acrylics. The body is hand sewn in faux fur vegan friendly fabrics. This creature has an inner articulated plastic armature that allows poseability.

It stands around 40cm tall and 50cm long from the tip of the beak to the tip of the tail (these measurements can vary depending on the position of the crrature when measuring).

Note this es a piece or hadnmade art and not a toy, and it is not intended for children.
