Ramidreju Artdoll (khaki green)

The ramidreju is a fake mythological creature, supposedly from cantabrian folklore in Nothern Spain. But how can a mythological. creature be fake?

The Ramidreju is, in fact, a creature created by the Spanish writer, journalist and folklorist Manuel Llano (1898-1938). In some of his books, Llano compilated popular tales and legends from the Cantabrian folklore, but he didn't have any problem incorporate so many of his own invention, including creatures such as the ramidreju, without any kind of mythological basis.

The ramidreju are creatures similar to a green weasel with the face of a hog. They are extremely rare, since they are born every 100 years. The dig tunnels and have the ability to find hidden treasures.

This ramidreju poseable doll stands around 19 cm tall standing on its four legs with its head up. It mneasures around 55cm long from the snout to the tip of the tail.

Head and feet are casted in polyurethane resin and painted with acrylics. The body is hand sewn with faux fur fabrics (100% synthetic and vegan-friendly fur) and has an inner plastic jointed skeleton that allows a wide range of poseability. The hair is trimmed on specific areas and the stripes on the back are painted with acrylics and brushed (painted fabric areas can be less soft and have a different texture than the non-painted areas.

This doll is an art collector piece and it's not suitable for children. It must be handled with care. It has small pieces that can be potentionally dangerous for children.

Note: I have made more than one ramidrejus of some varieties. The ramidreju in the pictures is not necessarily the exact one that you will receive, but it will be really similar.
